This piece is part of a series called Seljetonar. The melodies were collected by Reidar Djupedal. He was a professor of Nordic languages and literature and collected folk traditions throughout his life. Reidar Djupedal was my grandfather. The folk melodies in the series come from his home village of Selje in Stadlandet and were published as a separate supplement by Årbok for Nordfjord in the 1980s.
