This event is part of a series called Seljetonar. The melodies were collected by Reidar Djupedal. He was a professor of Nordic languages and literature and spent his entire life collecting folklore. Reidar Djupedal was my grandfather. The folk melodies in the series are from his hometown of Selje in Stadlandet, and they were published as a separate supplement by Årbok for Nordfjord in the 1980s.
